Two competitors position themselves on the ground, head-to-head on all-fours in the middle of the competition circle about 2 m (9 ft) in diameter. Competitors tuck their heads under their opponent’s collar bone so that they are shoulder-to-shoulder.
Using leg, arm, and body strength, and their weight, the players try to push their opponent out of the competition circle or until their opponent surrenders. The match is won by best of three rounds.
No equipment required.
No special playing area is required. And flat, level area large enough to accommodate the designated competition circle.
This game was traditionally played mostly by young men and adults.
Players should take care not to head-butt their popponent. There can be a considerable amount of stress placed on the neck if the proper position is not used.
